Pastor Boehne has been serving as the Pastor at Trinity Lutheran since April 18th, 2010.  He is married to Valerie (Richardson) Boehne and they have three children, Benjamin Timothy, Lydia Faith, and Rebekah Grace.  The following is a brief biography:

Rev. Jonathan P. Boehne was born on August 28, 1980 to Curtis and Ruth Boehne of Hoyleton, IL.  He grew up on the family dairy and grain farm and attended Trinity Lutheran School in Hoyleton, IL and then Nashville Community High School in Nashville, IL.

Following high school, he attended Kaskaskia College in Centralia, IL for two years before transferring to Concordia University in River Forest, IL.  In 2002, he graduated with a bachelor of arts degree with a mathematics major and a Biblical languages minor.  He then enrolled at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, IN.  He served his vicarage in 2004-05 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Rochelle, IL.  In 2006, he graduated with a Master of Divinity and received his first call to serve at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Huron, SD.  He was ordained and installed on July 9, 2006.

In January of 2010, he received and accepted the call from Trinity Lutheran in El Paso.  He was installed here on April 18th, 2010.

He and Valerie were married on August 2, 2003 in Lincoln, IL--Valerie's hometown.  Valerie, daughter of Ed and Carol Richardson, also attended Concordia in River Forest and graduated in 2003 with an Elementary Education degree and also Director of Education certification.  She served a DCE internship at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Kansas City and has taught at several Lutheran schools before they moved to Huron, SD. Their first son, Benjamin, was born on June 2, 2005 in Rochelle, IL.  Lydia was born on July 10, 2007 and  Rebekah was born March 22nd, 2010 in South Dakota.
